Kelly Lynn Beck, J.D., is a California attorney who represents adoptive parents, relative
caregivers, stepparents, guardians and grandparents in child custody proceedings, including dependency (foster care) matters. Along with her practice, she is an Instructor/Consultant with the National Institute of Permanent Family Connectedness at Seneca Family of Agencies (www.senecafoa.org; www.familypermanency.org); has been the lead attorney for the permanency project at the California Judicial Council (https://www.courts.ca.gov/programs-cfcc.htm), a senior program manager with the model courts program at the National Council for Juvenile and Family Court Judges (https://www.ncjfcj.org/child-welfare-and-juvenile-law/) as well a trainer at UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education (https://humanservices.ucdavis.edu/).


Ms. Beck has authored and developed many resources, including published articles, toolkits, bench cards, statewide curricula on Relative Placement, Father’s Rights and Engaging Family, which can be found throughout the above links. She continues to provide workshops and trainings in California and across the country.
